World Congress of Nephrology 2021

Virtual 2021

As you know, WCN’21 will be held as a virtual congress, accessible online, connecting our delegates wherever they are in the world.

Throughout its 60-year history, the ISN World Congress of Nephrology has always reflected the spirit of the times, evolving to meet new needs and advance kidney health worldwide. The safety and well-being of our members, their patients, and the public remains our primary concern and guides the planning process to deliver WCN'21 in a new format.

The congress will be held for five days from April 15-19, 2021, and will offer both live sessions and on-demand asynchronous sessions.

To make participating in Virtual WCN’21 as accessible as possible, one registration fee grants access to pre-congress courses, the congress, the ISN Community Film Event, and the Global Kidney Policy Forum. All recorded content will remain available to participants for several weeks after the congress.

We need to work together to maximize the opportunity to connect provided by the Virtual WCN’21. Please widely spread this message through your own network to encourage submissions and participation, and make sure your region is fully represented:

  • Abstract Submissions

To give more time to those who wish to submit an abstract for the Virtual WCN’21, the submission deadline has been extended to November 26, 2020.

    Abstracts can be submitted here.

  • ISN Community Film Event

Screened during Virtual WCN’21, the ISN Community Film Event showcases short films that reflect patient experiences or provide education for patients on renal topics.

The deadline for submissions is January 6, 2021.

Information on the ISN Community Film Event and how to submit can be found here.

  • Global Kidney Policy Forum

The ISN Global Kidney Policy Forum is a high-level policy meeting organized by the ISN at each World Congress of Nephrology (WCN) to bring together key decision-makers and stakeholders to address the burden of kidney disease and share strategies for prevention and improved management of the disease at both regional and global levels.

Information on the Global Kidney Policy Forum can be found here.
